A bit about me…
Growing up in Marblehead, MA, art was always my go-to pastime. I learned how to paint at a local art school, Acorn Gallery, and learned all about different mediums in middle school. After-school snacks were always accompanied by a box of crayons or markers, and every gift I gave typically meant creating a mess on the kitchen floor. As I grew up and headed off to St. George's School in Middletown, RI, I found that the more challenging art classes quickly became my happy place, but it never occurred to me as anything more than talent and something to do for fun. It wasn't until my junior year at St. Lawrence University that I realized art could be, at the very least, something I could pursue on the side. Up until then, I was planning on majoring in Psychology, which was a subject I had become sincerely passionate about. SLU, being a truly multi-faceted liberal arts school, gives their students the resources and opportunity to pursue anything and everything that catches their interest - and so I decided to double major in Art & Psychology (with an Italian minor to boot!). Once I really leaned into the Art department, I realized quickly that I had made the right decision. Now seven years out of school and fully self-employed, I’ve learned so much about myself as an artist and human being, and I can’t wait to see where I will go next on this great adventure!
